Firefighters rescue person whose car became stuck in standing water on Capel St Mary's The Street




Fire crews were sent to help a person whose car had become stuck in standing water in a Suffolk village this morning.

Firefighters were alerted to the incident in Capel St Mary at about 10.30am and found the car stuck in about a foot of standing water.

Four engines, including a specialist Unimog vehicle, attended the scene on The Street, near to the bridge, and pulled the car from the water, rescuing the person stuck inside.

A fire service spokesman said crews left the scene at about 10.50am.
