Flood alert issued for River Lark and River Deben from Debenham to Bromeswell and Clopton to Martlesham near Ipswich




A fresh flood alert has been issued from some areas of Suffolk, due to heavy rain over the last two days.

This morning the Environment Agency warned affected residents of possible flooding, telling them to avoid using low lying footpaths and monitor local water levels and weather conditions.

Flooding is possible in the areas of The River Deben from Debenham, to and including Bromeswell, and the River Lark from Clopton to Martlesham.

Yesterday a flood alert was issued for costal areas of the county.

A Met Office yellow weather warning for rain is currently in place across all of eastern and southern England – this will end this evening (Friday, October 13).
