East of England Co-op announces plans to relocate its East Bergholt store, in The Street, to Hills Residential housing development
A food store in a Suffolk village is set to open doors in a new location.
The East of England Co-op has announced plans to relocate its current store in The Street, East Bergholt, to the Hills Residential housing development.
It is scheduled to open in late 2025, with staff also moving to the new branch in St James Place.
Doug Field OBE, chief executive officer, said: “We’re proud to continue our commitment to the community of East Bergholt and to provide them with a new, bigger and better store to match the growing population in the village.”
The company said it will be exploring opportunities for the current site.
This is the second new store in Suffolk the retailer has announced this year, with a new shop opening at Ipswich railway station.
