Hullabaloo in St Peter’s Street, Ipswich will reopen at Harvest Moon vegan restaurant

A former University of Suffolk student has announced he is set to take over at a vegan hotspot in Ipswich town centre.

Flynn Squirrell, 22, currently works at Hullabaloo which is set to close in July but said he is ready for his next adventure, taking over the reigns at the venue in St Peter’s Street - renaming it Harvest Moon.

In a Facebook post on the Hullabaloo page Flynn said: “There was a lot of sadness when it was announced that Hullabaloo are closing.

“Jen and Jon (previous owners of Hullabaloo) have done an amazing job of creating an incredible community space, not only for vegans but also for Ipswich in general and the brilliant customers that we call friends.

“I am so pleased to be able to share this news that I, in partnership with my mum Isabel and sister Megan, are able to continue the space that was Hullabaloo, under its new name, Harvest Moon.

“We wish Jen and Jon the best of luck, whatever great venture they choose next for Hullabaloo, I am sure they will succeed and we will support them as much as we can.”

When Hullaballo closes next month refurbishments will take place throughout August, ready for the grand opening of Harvest Moon in September.

Flynn said: “Weronika the incredible chef who has supported Jen in the kitchen for the last three years has chosen to stay with us.

“Her unique talent in flavours and recipes will enable us to create our own unique menu, all plant-based of course.

“We look forward to seeing you all again, old customers and new, in September.”
