House fire in Churchill Avenue Hadleigh prompts large fire service response
A dozen firefighters in Suffolk battled a house fire in Hadleigh this evening.
The fire, which took hold in a semi-detached property on Churchill Avenue, prompted four fire engines to respond to the scene.
One crew from Hadleigh, another from Ipswich East, one from Princes Street and a fourth from Nayland were alerted to the blaze at around 7.30pm.
Two hose reels, two jets, breathing equipment, ladders and thermal image cameras were used at the scene. The road was also closed due to the fire.
A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed no casualties were reported.
The incident was dealt with by 9.49pm.
They said: "Whilst the fire is now out we will be continue to have a presence on scene for the next few hours."
