Hunt under way for trio after robbery at O2 phone shop in Ipswich




A hunt is under way for three people who stole phones and threatened staff at an O2 shop in Ipswich.

Three males entered the shop in Tavern Sreet at about 1pm yesterday wearing balaclavas and threatened staff, before stealing a quantity of phones and accessories, which were placed in a large black sports bag.

The trio fled the scene on foot in the direction of McDonald’s.

One was described as wearing black jogging bottoms, a black hoodie which had a white line or writing across the chest and the hood up.

He wore grey or light-coloured Nike trainers and was a carrying white bag with the Nike logo over this shoulder, as well as the black sports bag.

The second was wearing light-coloured trousers or jogging bottoms with a dark-coloured hoodie with the hood up. He wore black trainers with a white and black sole.

The third was wearing black jogging bottoms with a white logo on the left thigh, a black hoodie with ‘Man’ written in white across the chest and black trainers.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed anyone entering or leaving the shop, or who was acting suspiciously.
