Ipswich Town Football Club fans warned of delays on A14 between junction 47a Haughley and junction 49 Tot Hill as they travel to Peterborough for away game
Ipswich Town fans are being warned of delays on the road ahead of the Peterborough United away game this afternoon.
Fans driving to the match at the Weston Homes Stadium from Ipswich have been told to add at least an hour, ideally 90 minutes, to their planned journey times.
On a clear day, the route should take around one hour and 50 minutes but, taking the long-term roadworks on the A14 between Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds into account, the club are urging people to expect delays.
The work, from junction 47a Haughley to junction 49 Tot Hill, near Stowmarket, is due to finish by summer 2024 and a 50mph contraflow system is currently in place in the area.
There is no public parking available to visiting supporters at the Peterborough ground. Parking is available for £4.40 all day at Pleasure Fair Meadow City Council and Railworld car parks, which are close to the stadium.
