Ipswich Town promotion celebrations to continue into Bank Holiday Monday – here’s everything you need to know
Those who are not quite done celebrating Ipswich Town’s win over Huddersfield yesterday are in luck as the party will continue into Bank Holiday Monday.
Tomorrow from noon, an open-bus parade will travel from Sir Alf Ramsey Way to Christchurch Park, allowing both players and fans to commemorate the Blues’ ascension to the Premier League for the first time since 2002.
Big screens will be set up on the Westerfield Road side of Christchurch Park, allowing fans to watch the parade make its way.
From Sir Alf Ramsey Way, the bus will travel down Portman Road, Handford Road, Civic Drive, down Crown Street and onto Soane Street, Bolton Lane and Westerfield Road.
It is due to arrive at Christchurch Park at 1pm.
Once there, manager Kieran McKenna and the squad will address supporters from the bus.
The event is expected to end at 1.45pm.
A spokesman for ITFC thanked Suffolk Police, Suffolk County Council and Ipswich Borough Council for their help in setting up the parade.
