Ipswich Town striker James Norwood to appear at Suffolk Magistrates' Court on drink-drive charge




Ipswich Town player James Norwood is due to appear in court today charged with drink-driving.

The striker, from Cockfield near Bury St Edmunds, is to stand trial at Suffolk Magistrates' Court later this morning.

The 30 year old is accused of driving an Audi Q8 with 58 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

The offence is alleged to have taken place in Cockfield, on August 30 last year.

Norwood denied the charge at an earlier hearing in December.
