Inspire charity event in Ipswich helps raise over £3,500 for young people
A charity event in Suffolk has been labelled a huge success after it helped raise over £3,500 for young people.
Organised by youth group Inspire in Ipswich, the local community came together for the second-ever Field Funday event to support the mission of empowering young people and creating pathways to brighter futures.
The free-to-enter event included a varied line-up of entertainment and activities, with one of the highlights provided by the Rapid Relief Team, who provided 1000 free BBQ meals.
Live acts, including local legends Harry Martin, Ruby Ambrose, and Adam Thomas, entertained the crowd, with GMA Transport elevating the acts to new heights on one of their curtain side trailers which was used as a main stage.
Sara Warburton, Events and Fundraising Manager at Inspire, said, “Field Funday is more than just a one-day celebration; it’s an opportunity to open the doors of our charity to the local community and showcase our youth support services.
“It was great to reaffirm our commitment to empowering young people and creating a positive impact on the surrounding area.”
The event's success was also further bolstered by a £1,500 donation from Plymouth Brethren Christian Church.
Field Funday also featured a range of stalls, offering exciting activities such as a penalty shootout with holiday club coaches, an escape the maze game with youth development staff, and the opportunity to explore the Porch Project mobile youth centre van.
The contribution helps enable Inspire to provide young people with access to transformative programmes and support aimed at helping them dream bigger and realise their true potential.
