A14 and A12 motorists facing long delays after collision between car and lorry with miles of slow moving traffic
Motorists are facing long delays following a collision on the A14 between a car and a lorry with several miles of slow moving traffic.
The incident was at the Copdock Interchange outside Ipswich and, although there were no injuries, the lorry cannot be moved due to a ruptured fuel tank.
Highways England said the collision, between junctions 55 and 56, was causing delays of up to one hour on the A12 northbound and A14 eastbound with several miles of 'very slow traffic'.
They said: "Please allow extra time for your journey."
A tweet from Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team said officers dug out dirt from the verge to prevent the fuel spreading further.
