Nigel Moyes, formerly of Primrose Way, Ipswich, handed suspended sentence and restraining order at Ipswich Crown Court for stalking and arson




A 62-year-old man was handed a suspended prison sentence after admitting stalking and arson offences.

Nigel Moyes, formerly of Primrose Way, Ipswich, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday where he was given a total custodial sentence of 18 months, suspended for two years.

He had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of arson and one of stalking involving serious alarm/distress.

Moyes was made the subject of a restraining order for 10 years and GPS monitoring for six months.

PC Laura Henley said: “Stalking is a serious and distressing crime which can escalate into dangerous and destructive behaviour, like arson.”
