Man airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after motorbike crash in Paper Mill Lane, Bramford, near Ipswich




A man has been airlifted to hospital after suffering life-threatening head injuries in a village crash yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Paper Mill Lane, Bramford, at 2.20pm, following reports of a collision involving a black Volvo car and a black Suzuki motorbike.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said it sent an ambulance, a paramedic car and two BASICs paramedic cars to the scene.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered serious, life-threatening head injuries in the crash.

He was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition.

Paper Mill Lane reopened at 11.20pm.

Officers are appealing for witnesses after the crash.
