Man charged following incident at Christchurch Park in Ipswich

A man has been charged following an incident in a Suffolk park.

Police were called to Christchurch Park in Ipswich at around 8.10pm on Monday to reports of the incident.

A man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of multiple offences.

He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for further questioning.

Keith McKenzie, 48, of Bond Street in Ipswich, has been charged with two counts of possession of bladed article and has been remanded in custody to appear at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 1.

Suffolk Police has urged the public to avoid online speculation as the investigation continues.
