Man charged with burglary and theft of Land Rover near Heath Road, Ipswich

A man has been charged with burglary and theft following a break-in to a home in which a Land Rover was stolen.

Leroy Clarke, aged 33 and from Ipswich, was charged today for committing the crimes near Heath Road at about 4am on December 20, 2022.

He appeared before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded guilty to theft of a motor vehicle and not guilty to burglary.

He was remanded for a further court appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on June 1.

Clarke was arrested on May 2, after police enquiries and forensic work led them to him.
