Crocus Close, Ipswich, flat fire fatality confirmed to be man in 50s

Police have confirmed a person who died in a flat fire in Ipswich yesterday was a man is his 50s.

Emergency services were called to the blaze in Crocus Close at about 10.40am.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, although it is not believed to be suspicious.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Police said that the man’s next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
