Ipswich man to appear in court after being charged in connection with burglary
A man who has been charged in connection with a burglary in Ipswich earlier today will appear before magistrates in court tomorrow.
David Potter, 50, of Fore Street, was charged with entering as a trespasser with intent to steal following an incident on the same street.
It comes after police were called to a building on Fore Street after an alarm was sounded, and they found a man inside who they said was attempting to break into an office.
A police spokesman said: "The male ran further into the building and upstairs into the rooftop area.
"Officers swiftly arrested him and he was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning."
Potter has been remanded to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
