Ipswich motorcyclist sustains serious head injuries after wall collision

A road collision which caused a motorcyclist to sustain serious head injuries due to hitting a wall in Ipswich has police appealing for witnesses.

Officers were called shortly after 5.15pm yesterday, following reports of single-vehicle collision in Renfrew Road.

The rider of a blue Yamaha motorcycle was taken via ambulance to Ipswich Hospital initially but he was later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Road closures were put in place in the area while an investigation was carried out. The closures were lifted at approximately 9.50pm.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving.
