Motorcyclist taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by air ambulance after serious crash in Ipswich




A motorcyclist was taken to hospital by air ambulance in a crash after suffering injuries that were initially considered to be potentially life-changing.

Police were called to Foxhall Road in Ipswich at just before 3.45pm yesterday to reports of a collision involving a grey BMW car and a red Kawasaki motorcycle, near Broadlands Way.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was seriously injured and was first taken to Ipswich Hospital following the incident.

He was flown by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment to injuries that were initially considered to be potentially life-changing. He remains in a stable condition.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and ask any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle to review the footage.
