New sculpture trail to take place in Ipswich town centre next year, following success of St Elizabeth Hospice’s Big Hoot, Elmer’s Big Parade and Pigs Gone Wild

Following the success of other events such as 2022’s Big Hoot, a new art trail will hit the streets of Ipswich next year.

St Elizabeth Hospice has confirmed that more sculptures will be dotted around the town centre from June next year, featuring new enhancements to entice followers.

The Big Hoot event in 2022 saw more than 50 decorated owls swoop on Ipswich, which was estimated to have raised over £270,000 for a good cause.

This followed Elmer’s Big Parade in 2019, which featured decorated elephants, and Pigs Gone Wild, with colourful pigs, in 2016.

A spokesman for St Elizabeth Hospice said the chosen sculptures remain a closely guarded secret.

However, all funds generated by the trail will go towards helping children with life-changing illnesses and their families.
