Ipswich's Felixstowe Road closed after oil spill blocks one of town's links to A14 and A12




Drivers have been warned they could face delays after an oil spill in Ipswich has seen one of its major routes on to the A14 and A12 close.

At 11.55am today Suffolk Police were called to Felixstowe Road in the town after oil started spilling from a Kia car.

The oil spill, near the Miller and Carter steakhouse, has seen officers close the road because of the danger of cars skidding.

A spokesman from Suffolk Police today said it could be a 'couple of hours' until the road is re-opened, with crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue working to make the A1156 safe again.

An ambulance was called to the scene, but there are no injuries.
