Pedestrian hit by car in London Road, Ipswich

One person has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car, but their injuries are not thought to be serious.

Police were called to the incident in London Road, Ipswich – near the Mermaid Pub – at 4.15pm today.

One ambulance attended and took the pedestrian to hospital, to be checked over.

Traffic on the London Road was very slow due to the incident, but the scene is now cleared and police have left.
