Pepe’s Piri Piri to open in Dog’s Head Street, Ipswich, after plans approved

Plans to open a new peri peri chicken takeaway in Ipswich have been given the green light.

Last week, Ipswich Borough Council approved Mohamed Youssef’s plans to open a Pepe’s Peri Peri at 8 to 10 Dog’s Head Street.

The firm is set to move into the unit next door to St Elizabeth Hospice’s charity shop.

Plans to install the brand’s logo on the outside of the building, alongside new extraction vents at the back, were submitted in September.

Pepe’s is a UK-based franchise which currently has 209 stores across the UK.

The firm specialises in flame-grilled chicken in six flavours ranging from mango and lime and lemon and herb to ‘extra hot inferno’.

Pepe’s has been approached for comment.
