SuffolkNews Podcast: Sproughton A14 diversion described as ‘highway to hell’ by Suffolk County Councillor Christopher Hudson




In today's podcast, a concerned councillor has warned that it is only a ‘matter of time’ until there is a fatality on a route often used by HGV drivers when the A14 is closed.

Suffolk County Councillor Christopher Hudson, represents the village of Sproughton near Ipswich, where the community has complained about 40-tonne-trucks being driven down residential streets.

A mum has praised her five-year-old son for saving her life after she suffered a seizure at her home in Suffolk.

Dana Conway, 24, was at her home in Stowmarket and her child, Logan, was eating breakfast to get ready for school, when she had a seizure.

Emergency services remain at a major retail park after 13 people were found in the back of a lorry.

Suffolk Police said they were called to the Ransomes Industrial Estate in Ipswich at around 10.40am where they found the people within an HGV lorry.

Officers said they suspect the people found had entered the UK illegally and so far three arrests have been made.
