Podcast: Booster jabs to help reduce Covid spread, new GP surgery on the horizon and Suffolk’s best villages

On the podcast today we have the news of the Government’s programme to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus over the winter, with over-50s in Suffolk set to be invited for a booster jab from as early as next week.

We also have the latest on building a new GP surgery in Sudbury, which will see three in the area combine.

The centre, if approved by Babergh District Council, will replace the existing Hardwicke House and Meadow Lane practices in Sudbury, as well as the Cornard Surgery, which practice bosses argue cannot meet the increasing demands on them.

The MetOffice has warned parts of Suffolk could face flooding as rain is set to continue to drench the county today.

And finally three Suffolk villages have been named as some of the best villages in the county.

One was praised for its its crooked houses are the 'perfect hideaway for anyone seeking refuge from the modern world and its boring old right angles'.

With an 'Insta-friendly market square' and 'views over the lush Suffolk countryside', the 'higgledy-piggledy feast for the eyes' made the Sunday Times' top 50 list.
