More news, no ads

In today's podcast, we bring you news that officers are investigating a large blaze at an Ipswich park as a potential arson incident.

On Monday at around 8pm, emergency services were called to a grass fire at Orwell Country Park on the edge of Fen Bight Circle in the Ravenswood area of the town.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously.

Next, a man has come forward after police issued an appeal to identify a suspect following a racially aggravated assault in Hadleigh.

It related to an incident in Partridges store on the High Street on Saturday, where a man in his 60s was pushed to the ground by another man.

Police issued a CCTV image and a man in his 30s has come forward in connection with the incident.

He has been interviewed under caution on a voluntary basis and is assisting police with ongoing inquiries.

Also, a mum of two forced to remove 13 of her teeth herself after she was unable to access an NHS dentist, says she is ‘overwhelmed’ by a community fund-raiser to pay for dentures.

Danielle Watts, of Bury St Edmunds, undertook her own DIY dentistry last year after suffering from chronic gum disease and the closure of her NHS dentist around seven years ago.

Cllr Katie Parker launched the fund-raising campaign to raise £1,500 to help pay for Danielle’s dentures after she had several more teeth extracted.

Danielle said she felt ‘tearful’ at the community response.

And finally, Suffolk News reporters have tried and tested seven fun-packed days out for all the family.

Jimmy’s Farm in Ipswich, Ickworth Estate’s cycle hire and High Lodge Adventure Golf in Thetford Forest are among the list of the region’s best attractions.

And there’s even a dinosaur park near Norwich for those prehistoric beast enthusiasts.
