Suffolk Police appeal after woman suffers potentially life-changing injuries in two-vehicle crash in Duke Street in Ipswich
Police are appealing after a woman suffered potentially life-changing injuries following a two-vehicle crash that closed a road in a Suffolk town for three hours.
Officers were called to Duke Street in Ipswich by the East of England Ambulance Service at about 5.10pm yesterday after reports of a collision involving a black Volkswagen Polo and a Honda 125 scooter.
Police, ambulance and air ambulance all attended the incident.
The driver of the scooter, a woman in her 50s, suffered serious injuries which have been described as potentially life-changing.
She was initially taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, before being transported to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where she remains.
The road was closed between Pownall Road and Holywells Road and all restrictions were lifted by 8.10pm.
Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and are also asking any motorists driving in the area at the time with a dashcam in their vehicle to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
