Air ambulance lands and Suffolk Police cordon off guest house in Ipswich's Norwich Road after man is attacked inside property




Eyewitnesses have reported of a huge emergency service response in Ipswich tonight after an attack inside a guest house.

Emergency services are in Norwich Road in the town, and have cordoned off a property, which an eyewitness said was at the Beaumont Guest House near the Tesco, after a man was assaulted inside.

Suffolk Police are now at the scene, with reports of forensic vehicles also at the address and officers standing guard.

A nearby shopkeeper told Suffolk News they saw an air ambulance land near at about 5 o'clock in Sherrington Road Recreation Area, which is nearby.

"As I walked past I saw an ambulance with its doors open and loads of police cars there," they said.

Detectives are now working at the scene, but Suffolk Police have not yet revealed more information about the attack or the injuries sustained.
