Suspended Suffolk police inspector Kevin Horton appears in Norwich Magistrates’ Court charged with sexual assault

A Suffolk police officer charged with sexual assault has appeared in court.

Inspector Kevin Horton, 54, appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

He stood accused of sexual assault on a female over the age of 16, which related to an alleged incident in August last year.

Due to the proceedings, Horton has been suspended from duty.

During his hearing last week, Horton pleaded not guilty to the charge.

He was bailed and will appear before Norwich Crown Court on December 22.
