LEARN MOREPolice have provisionally identified the body of a man discovered in an Ipswich river as Hubert Mojsiuszko who went missing in early November.
Officers were called to reports that a man's body had been found in the River Gipping at about 3.30pm on Tuesday, December 15.
Subject to confirmation at formal coroner's inquest proceedings, he has been provisionally identified as Mr Mojsiuszko, 47, who was last seen in the town on Monday, November 2.
Police had appealed for help to find him over the past month or so, with his loved ones saying he had not been seen or heard from for what they described as an 'unusually long period of time'.
His next of kin have been informed of the news.
A police spokeswoman said there are not currently believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
