Police seek witnesses to road rage incident on A137 in Wherstead, near Ipswich




Police are seeking witnesses to a road rage incident in Suffolk.

It was reported to have been at around 8.40am on Wednesday on the A137 in Wherstead, near Ipswich, travelling up the hill near the ski slope towards the A14.

Suffolk Police said a black Volkswagen Golf tailgated a blue Suzuki Swift and then attempted undertaking and overtaking manoeuvres.

As both cars stopped in queuing traffic, the driver of the VW Golf allegedly became verbally abusive and made threats towards the driver of the Suzuki.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses and motorists driving in the area to get in touch with the Crime Coordination Centre, quoting reference 54579/24.

They are particularly keen to hear from those with dashcam footage that may be of assistance.
