Holywells Park splash pad in Ipswich reopens earlier than expected

A popular water play area in a town park has reopened earlier than expected.

Ipswich Borough Council announced yesterday the splash pad at Holywells Park is now welcoming members of the public to the free play space again.

The splash pad can be enjoyed by families every day during the summer from 11am to 5pm, depending on the weather.

A spokesperson for the council said on social media: “Over the last few years, the park and its play area have seen significant improvements, making it an even better place for families to enjoy the outdoors together.”

The authority also asked users of the splash pad to keep their children supervised at all times, for children to wear swim nappies instead of normal ones for safe water play, and for items such as food and litter, not to be brought into the area.

The paddling pool in Bourne Park is set to be ready to reopen later this month.
