In addition, visitors will be treated to LED stilt walkers, a funfair and fairground plus a wealth of other attractions at the event which promises a night of fun and excitement for families.

Live music will cover a variety of genres, which the organisers hoped would suit all tastes.

Acts include ‘acrobatic African drummers’ One-Drum and ‘high-energy party band’ PRTY.

Also taking to the stage will be Ipswich piano-vocal duo Painting the Silence; Amy Allard; youngster Harry Martin and Serena Grant with her band.

Christchurch Park fireworks display began in 1971 and is run by a team of volunteers.

Money raised is put back into the community.

Last year’s event cost a whopping £25,000.

It costs more than £20,000 for the group to run its services per year, it revealed.

Gates for the event open at 6pm, with fireworks at 8pm.

Attractions remain open until 10pm.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at www.ipswichfireworks.com.
