Suffolk's most dangerous neighbourhoods revealed including Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds according to September 2024 police crime figures




Thousands of crimes are reported to police in Suffolk each month, including anti-social behaviour, burglary and violent offences.

Figures collated by SuffolkNews reveal some of the most dangerous areas in the county, based on the number of crimes reported in the latest month which has data available – September.

Below you can search for your street to find out if Suffolk Police have logged any crimes in your neighbourhood, and we also reveal how many crimes have been reported in some of the county's biggest towns.

In September, there were 1,245 crimes reported in Ipswich, with the ward of Alexandra totalling the most crimes in the town with 235 crimes, 89 of which were violence and sexual offences.

Alexandra was followed by Westgate and St. Margaret's with 132 reported crimes, Gipping on 113, and Stoke Park and Sprites on 110.

Bury St Edmunds saw a total of 460 crimes recorded - 176 of them in the north of the town, 139 in the south of the town, 67 in the rural north and 36 in the rural south.

Police data shows in September, there were also 205 crimes reported in Haverhill and 144 reported in Sudbury.

In Newmarket, there 172 crimes reported, with 50 reported in Mildenhall, 95 in Stowmarket, and 116 in Felixstowe.
