Suffolk's most dangerous neighbourhoods revealed including Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds according to February 2025 police crime figures




Thousands of crimes are reported to police in Suffolk each month, including anti-social behaviour, burglary and violent offences.

Figures collated by SuffolkNews reveal some of the most dangerous areas in the county, based on the number of crimes reported in the latest month which has data available – February.

Below you can search for your street to find out if Suffolk Police have logged any crimes in your neighbourhood, and we also reveal how many crimes have been reported in some of the county's biggest towns.

In February, there were 1,033 crimes reported in Ipswich, with the ward of Alexandra totalling the most crimes in the town with 214 crimes, 71 of which were violence and sexual offences.

Alexandra was followed by Westgate and St. Margaret's with 125 reported crimes, Stoke Park and Sprites on 104, with Gipping on 85.

Bury St Edmunds saw a total of 312 crimes recorded – 157 of them in the north of the town, 84 in the south of the town, 50 in the rural north and 21 in the rural south.

Police data shows in February, there were also 176 crimes reported in Haverhill and 155 reported in Sudbury.

In Newmarket, there were 129 crimes reported, with 64 reported in Mildenhall, 97 in Stowmarket, and 64 in Felixstowe.
