Suffolk's most dangerous neighbourhoods revealed including Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, according to April 2025 police crime figures




Thousands of crimes are reported to police in Suffolk each month, including anti-social behaviour, burglary and violent offences.

Figures collated by SuffolkNews reveal some of the most dangerous areas in the county, based on the number of crimes reported in the latest month which has data available – April.

Below you can search for your street to find out if Suffolk Police have logged any crimes in your neighbourhood, and we also reveal how many crimes have been reported in some of the county's biggest towns.

In April, there were 1,267 crimes reported in Ipswich, with the ward of Alexandra totalling the most crimes in the town with 223 crimes, 63 of which were violence and sexual offences.

Alexandra was followed by Westgate and St. Margaret's with 143 reported crimes, Whitton and Castle Hill on 127, with Stoke Park and Sprites on 125.

Bury St Edmunds saw a total of 387 crimes recorded - 172 of them in the north of the town, 119 in the south of the town, 58 in the rural north and 38 in the rural south.

Police data shows in April, there were also 185 crimes reported in Haverhill and 159 reported in Sudbury.

In Newmarket, there were 157 crimes reported, with 52 reported in Mildenhall, 108 in Stowmarket, and 113 in Felixstowe.
