A1071 in Hintlesham closed, between Hadleigh and Ipswich, after crash involving two lorries with man cut free from vehicle




A village road has been closed to recover two lorries involved in a collision and a 75-year-old man has been cut free from his vehicle.

The collision happened shortly before 10am today and police have shut the A1071 in Hintlesham, between Hadleigh and Ipswich.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson has advised motorists to find alternative routes.

A 75-year-old man, an occupant of one of the HGVs, was cut free from his vehicle by the fire service and was released into the care of the East of England Ambulance Service.

Two fire engines, one from Ipswich East and the other from Princes Street, attended the incident.

The East of England Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
