Progressive rock legend Rick Wakeman has become a patron for the Ipswich Hospital Band, and joined them last night for a rehearsal.

The musician, who's talents have been showcased in the likes of 'Space Oddity' by David Bowie as well as in the progressive rock band Yes, paid the band a visit at St Peter's by the Waterfront in Ipswich.

A new patron, it is hoped Rick's involvement will raise the profile of the band and help them to get creative.
