A14 lane reopens outside Sproughton near Ipswich after motorbike broke down




One lane has reopened on part of the A14 in Suffolk after a motorbike broke down.

Police were called to the incident in the eastbound carriageway outside Sproughton, near Ipswich, at about 2.45pm today.

Lane one was closed between junction 54 and junction 55 and police were are at the scene.

A spokesperson for National Highways at 4.14pm said on social media there were 3.5 miles of congestion on approach and delays were 30 minutes above normal journey time.

At 4.58pm, Highways said the major route eastbound had fully reopened.
