A14 lanes open at Orwell Bridge outside Ipswich after oil spillage and broken down vehicles
There are delays on the A14 this morning outside a Suffolk town after an oil spillage and two broken down vehicles.
One lane heading eastbound has been closed on the Orwell Bridge outside Ipswich, between junction 56 (Wherstead Interchange) and junction 57 (Nacton Interchange).
Police were called at 7.45am to the first incident that happened following a broken down car which lost a lot of oil.
According to a spokesperson for Suffolk Police, recovery is on its way and Suffolk Highways have also been called to clean up the oil.
Officers were called at 8.25am for the second incident, where a van broke down also heading eastbound on the Orwell Bridge.
Traffic is very slow in the area.
