Severe delays on A14 and A12 as people travel to the Suffolk Show at Trinity Park in Ipswich




There are severe delays on major routes as thousands of people travel to the Suffolk Show.

The return of the popular event at Trinity Park in Ipswich, has meant there are a lot more drivers on the roads this morning than normal.

According to the AA traffic map, there were long delays of 16 minutes on the A14 eastbound between junction 53, A1156 Bury Road (the Whitehouse Interchange) and junction 57, A1189 Nacton Road (the Nacton Interchange) during rush hour this morning.

Also, a traffic incident caused delays on the Orwell Bridge leading back to Copdock.

A vehicle broke-down shortly after 10am, but was cleared by 10.12am.

However, as of midday, all delays on the A14 have eased, with only minor delays, according to the AA route planner.

In addition, there are also severe delays of ten minutes on the A12 southbound outside Bucklesham, between Foxhall Road (Brightwell Corner) and junction 58 (Seven Hills) on the A14 with the average speed about five miles per hour.

There are also still heavy delays on Felixstowe Road.
