Storm Herminia could bring 70mph winds to Ipswich, Needham Market, Framlingham and Felixstowe




A weather warning is in place as strong winds are expected to continue in Suffolk with the arrival of Storm Herminia.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind in towns including Ipswich, Needham Market, Framlingham and along the Suffolk coast including Felixstowe.

Strong and gusty winds that could reach speeds between 60 to 70mph which may cause delays and disruption to road, rail, air and ferry transport.

It is also likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities could be affected by spray and large waves.

The warning, which has been in place since 6am today, will remain in place until 6am tomorrow.

This comes after the country faced strong winds and rain from Storm Éowyn over the weekend.
