Patrick Spencer, Conservative MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, charged with two counts of sexual assault on women in London




A Suffolk MP has been charged with two counts of sexual assault on women in London.

Patrick Spencer, Conservative MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, has been charged in connection with an investigation into two sexual assaults, which reportedly occurred at the Groucho Club in August 2023.

The charges relate to two separate women.

On March 13, a man attended a voluntary interview at a London police station.

Spencer, 37, has since been charged with two counts of sexual assault and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 16.

The father of two was elected in last year’s General Election.
