Ipswich named UK’s hottest summer destination by Parkdean Resorts




A Suffolk town has been named as the hottest destination in the UK to visit this summer by a holiday provider.

Parkdean Resorts analysed the average temperature of towns and cities across the country, and has crowned Ipswich as the UK destination with the best weather.

It compiled the expected temperatures for July, August and September to then produce an average – Ipswich topped the list with 22 degrees.

Nearby Norwich came in second with an average of 21 degrees, while both beat out popular holiday destinations including Torquay and Exmouth, which had averages of 20 and 20.33 degrees respectively, and Brighton, which had an average of 19.

Parkdean Resorts said the town is an ‘ideal destination’ for keeping the whole family entertained on a summer’s day, with a plethora of museums and a rich maritime history.

Ipswich is forecast to reach an average of 23 degrees in both July and August and 20 degrees in September.

Norwich is set for average temperatures of 22 degrees in July and August and 19 in September.

Other places on the list include Whitstable, Hastings, Matlock, Ilfracombe and Fowey.
