Ipswich’s Regent Theatre and Corn Exchange to host Ed Byrne, Simon Brodkin, Ruby Wax and Ben Elton in 2024
A host of big-name comedians have been announced for a series of shows in a Suffolk town next year.
The Ipswich Corn Exchange and Regent Theatre will play host to gigs from Ruby Wax, Simon Brodkin, Ed Byrne and Ben Elton.
Byrne is well-known for his collaborations with fellow Irish comedian Dara O’Briain on shows such as Mock The Week, and was also spotted in Bury St Edmunds earlier this year, visiting the Nethergate shop.
Simon Brodkin is famously recognised for his character Lee Nelson, and has also pranked high-profile figures including Sepp Blatter, Theresa May and Donald Trump.
Ruby Wax was a script editor for TV show Absolutely Fabulous, as well as being known for her comic interviewer style.
Elton was a writer on the sitcoms The Young Ones and Blackadder, as well as writing the musicals We Will Rock You and Love Never Dies.
Brodkin will be the first to visit the county town, coming to the Regent on Friday, June 14.
Wax will follow a week later at the Corn Exchange, on June 21.
Elton will be at the Corn Exchange later in the year on Saturday, October 5.
Byrne will be the last to visit Ipswich on the run up to Christmas, performing at the Corn Exchange on Wednesday, December 11.
