Three arrested after teenager stabbed in St Stephen’s Lane in Ipswich following altercation involving group of males
Two men and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested after a teenager was stabbed in the leg in a Suffolk town centre.
Police were called just before midnight on Saturday following reports that a teenager had been stabbed in St Stephen’s Lane in Ipswich.
The attack is believed to have taken place after an altercation involving a group of males, at least one of whom is believed to have been carrying a knife.
The victim, a man aged in his late teens, suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance to receive treatment.
His condition is not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
A 20-year-old man, 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested on suspicion of assault (grievous bodily harm) on September 25 and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
While in custody, the 19-year-old man was additionally arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B or C drugs.
All three were bailed with conditions to return to police on November 25.
