Ipswich Town Hall to light up red this weekend to support England in Euro 2020 final

A Suffolk town hall will be lighting up red this weekend in support of the England team's Euro 2020 final.

The Ipswich building is also decorated in five St George's flags ahead of tomorrow's match.

Cllr Elizabeth Hughes, mayor of Ipswich, said Gareth Southgate could soon join Ipswich Town FC managers Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson as a knight of the realm.

Noting that it was nearly 55 years since England’s men’s team last played in a major football final, she said: "I'm sure there will be plenty of St George’s flags on display across Ipswich over the weekend and I'm delighted we have been able to get involved by displaying not one, but five on the town hall.

"It is great to see such support for our national team.
