The Royal George in Ipswich reopens after six-figure revamp
A pub has reopened after a six-figure revamp to give the venue a fresh look.
The Royal George in Ipswich welcomed back customers yesterday following the refurbishment.
The Greene King Flaming Grill pub, in Colchester Road, has been redecorated with additional indoor and outdoor seating and a makeover of the garden.
For sports fans, a new TV viewing area has been added.
Richard and June Proctor, who have been regular customers at the Royal George for more than 50 years, were on hand to cut the ribbon and officially reopen the pub.
Ian Andrews, general manager at the Royal George, said: "This refurbishment has allowed us to enhance every aspect of our offering to our customers.
“We hope our visitors will enjoy the new look and feel, and we can’t wait to welcome them back.”
