Suffolk Highways trialling new method to rid county of weeds

Highways bosses are trialling a new method to rid the county of weeds.

Suffolk Highways said on X, (formerly Twitter), it is currently trialling weed rippers.

The service said: “As we prepare for spring, we're trialling new Weed Rippers across Suffolk.

“The Weed Ripper removes not only the weed but the surrounding soil for longer lasting results.

“This is just one of the alternative methods being explored to tackle the growing problem of weeds.”
