He is also set to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on July 6.

It comes after two more people were charged in connection with the stabbing last week.

Gerson Assuncoo, 21, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with affray in connection with the incident.

Both are Ipswich residents, and the two appeared at Suffolk Magistrates' Court on June 8, where they were granted bail pending an Ipswich Crown Court hearing on July 6.

It came after the incident on Thursday, June 2 at about 9pm when witnesses reported that a man was stabbed in Upper Brook Street after a clash between two small groups of males.

The 28-year-old victim fled the scene, running down Tavern Street and into Tower Street, where he collapsed.

He was taken to hospital, having suffered a deep cut to his shoulder, a puncture to his lung, and a wound to his wrist.

The injuries were initially described as potentially life-threatening, but the man was discharged the following day.
